THE GIRL THAT MET SANTA CLAUS …
As Big Ben struck midnight on Christmas night Santa went in the Jones’s house. A girl named Lilly was sleeping; the girl was only 8 and loved Christmas. She wanted a painting set for Christmas but didn’t mind.
As Santa went in the house he accidently tripped up and fell over and knocked the Christmas tree over and the noise woke Lilly up.
Lily crept downstairs and was amazed to see Santa lying on the floor in a mess and the Christmas tree ruined. She whispered in a shocked voice, “are you the real Santa?”.
“YES, YES, I am Santa. I was on the toilet and when I came out I knocked over your tree. Really sorry about what a mess you have made. First we need to put the tree back up”, said Lilly.
“Okay but why are there no decorations on the tree?”
“My dad does not belive in Santa and doesn’t want anything Christmassy in the house, wer’e lucky he let us have a Christmas at all and I keep of telling him Santa is real.”
“Alright, then”, said Santa. “Let’s see if we can magic up a nice tree for you with decorations and maybe then he’ll believe.”
Santa took some magic dust out of his pocket and sprinkled it over the tree. Out of nowhere, the tree rose from the floor and now it had fairy lights, red and gold baubles and a shimmering star.
“Oh wow” Lilly said quietly .
“Thank you!”. She turned round to face Santa.
“Now what happened to the sleigh,”.said Lilly.
Santa looked very upset and explained, “An evil elf broke it. He wants to ruin Christmas for everyone. “
“I don’t think it is fixable. Can I use your car? I’ll bring it back tomorrow…”
“I don’t know,” said Lilly, “ It’s my mum’s car and I don’t think it flies!”
“Don’t worry”, said Santa. “I have special dust that can make it fly.”
Lilly grasped Santa by the hand and then led led him outside to the family red pick up truck. On the lawn the reindeer were looking a bit glum standing alongside a very broken looking sleigh which was piled high with presents. “Oh dear never mind – look, we can put all the presents in the back of the truck.”
Santa smiled and then reached into his pocket. Slowly, he pulled out his hand and then opened it to reveal a handful of what could only be his magic dust….

Phoebe’s half term
On Sunday I was on my scooter chasing Finlay down the road when I tripped on something and fell over.
Then I broke my arm. It took 4 hours at the hospital too get it checked out – i was hoping it was only bruised but it was broken.
Then on Wednesday because I didn’t really have much to do, so my mum took me to the theatre to see Wicked. It was a bit scary because the monkeys had really weird costumes and it felt like they were come up to me. I liked the bit when the witch melted but hid away and then ran off with her boyfriend the scarecrow.
On Thursday even though I had a broken arm i went to a two day drama and singing workshop dressed up as a demon.
On Friday it’s Halloween and I’m dressing up as a vampire queen. Can’t wait.
On Saturday I’m meant to do stagecoach but I might not do it because I may be tired.
On Sunday I can’t do golf because of my arm.
